College soccer player from N.J. found dead in his Pennsylvania dorm room

A 21-year-old Gloucester County man who graduated from a Catholic school in Pennsauken Township in 2020 was found dead last week in his college dorm room in Pennsylvania, authorities said.

Andrew Ruehlicke, a graduate of Bishop Eustace Preparatory School, was found unresponsive in his residence hall room at York College of Pennsylvania, according to Richard Satterlee, dean of student development and campus life.

Ruehlicke, of Mullica Hill, was in his junior year majoring in sports management major at the school. He was also a member of the mens soccer team, Satterlee said.

There are no words to describe the profound sorrow we feel as a community because of his passing. Please keep Drew and his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time, Satterlee said in a statement.

The Courier Post reported autopsy results are pending, but that the York County coroner said the death was not suspicious. The Post reported Ruehlicke carried a 4.0 GPA and was a four-time member of the deans list as a sports management major and finance minor.
