BMW chief warns against setting gas-powered phase-out date

Setting a date to phase out gas-powered vehicles could remove “cheap cars” from the market, putting ownership out of reach for many, and be politically dangerous, the board chair of German automaker BMW Oliver Zipse said on Wednesday.
