Laurus Labs share price declined 1.5 percent in the early trade on December 13 after the company’s subsidiary received five observations from USFDA.

At 09:20 am, Laurus Labs was quoting at Rs 382.10 apiece, down Rs 5.95, or 1.53 percent on the BSE.

“Laurus Synthesis Private Limited (LSPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company underwent USFDA inspection for the manufacturing facility in Parawada, Anakapalli, near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh,” the company said in its release.

The inspection was conducted from December 4 to 12, 2023.

“We have been issued a Form 483 with five observations and the company will address the observations within stipulated timelines,” Laurus Labs added.

The company had  reported an 84.1 percent year-on-year drop in consolidated net profit at Rs 37.12 crore in the July-September quarter of the current financial year.

The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 417.85 and a 52-week low of Rs 279.65 on 09 August, 2023 and 28 April, 2023, respectively.

Currently, the stock is trading 8.56 percent below its 52-week high and 36.64 percent above its 52-week low.
