On the last day of the first trading week of 2024, Foreign Portfolio Investors cut their stake in Swan Energy and RBZ Jewellers, while Axis Securities picked up a stake in TRF.

The total value of the sale is Rs 157.21 crore. As of September 2023, the fund held 48.44 lakh shares in the company. The stock of Swan Energy rose 7.48 percent to Rs 563.6 in the trading session.

BNP Paribas Arbitrage Fund is another FPI that reduced their stake in a company. The fund sold 1 percent or 4 lakh shares of RBZ Jewellers at Rs 5.83 crore. The sale happened at Rs 145.97 per share. The arbitrage fund previously held 5.95 lakh shares or a 1.49 percent stake in RBZ Jewellers. Meanwhile, in the exchanges, shares of RBZ Jewellers surged 5 percent and got locked in the upper circuit for intraday trading at Rs 146.75.

Amid these selling actions, Axis Securities bought a Rs 4.46 crore or 1.49 percent stake in TRF, the producer of material handling equipments. Axis Securities picked up 1.65 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 270.38. The TRF stock rallied 10.81 percent to Rs 278.9 in the bourses.
