Westpac sees monetary policy ‘less restrictive’ over next year

Australia’s Westpac Banking Corp said on Monday it sees scope for monetary policy in the country to become less restrictive within the next year, while reporting a drop in its first-quarter unaudited net profit compared with the prior six-months’ quarterly average.
