Emkay Investment Managers Ltd. (EIML), the asset management arm of Emkay Global Financial Services Ltd., announced on September 13 the appointment of Manish Sonthalia as the Chief Investment Officer at the firm.

Sonthalia comes with over three decades of experience in the financial services industry and joins the Emkay group from Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company Ltd. where he served as an Executive Director and CIO for PMS, Alternates, and Offshore Investments, and managed assets worth approximately Rs 6500 crore at the last count, according to an exchange filling. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Cost and Works Accountant, and MBA.

Speaking on his appointment as the Chief Investment Officer of EIML, Manish Sonthalia said, “Emkay Investment Managers has built great prowess in offering a diverse set of equity investment opportunities for clients seeking prudent wealth creation in the Indian capital markets.
