Fed#39;s pivot pushes Gold futures up 1,000 points, Bank Nifty poised to hit 48,000

Indian markets also opened with strong gains, with all sectoral indices trading in the green. BSE Sensex surged over 800 points; NSE Nifty jumped over 1 percent, rising above 21,150; and Nifty IT index soared 2.5 percent. Gold Futures on MCX with a February 5 expiry were trading 1,000 points or 2 percent higher at open.
